Hi
Some plant addict friends and I are going to Seattle in July for the
Heronswood open house (this is console ourselves for not getting out money
in on time for the NWPA event in Vancouver in June, Alas.)
We will be in Seattle two nights--we were there two years ago and did not
find a nifty place to stay (nifty means moderately cost, clean, maybe a
little character or view)--nothing between the ywca and very expensive
downtown hotels??? Of course we will go to the Belvue (sp?) Botanic Garden
and look at the long border---What about Belvue? We drove for miles in
Seattle looking for a motel--only found one expensive one right on the
freeway near the University--
So suggestions on where to stay and maybe a few gardens or nurserys would be
lovely
Thanks--sorry this isn't exactly about plants, but the trip is about nothing
else but plants.
