Well I came, I saw and I am still no wiser. In the Supreme Court Gardens
(which I understand was Perth's first botanic garden) there are a lot of
lovely old trees, none labelled. I recognised A. heterophylla and A.
cunninghamii (I think) and also probably bidwillii, plus something else
- maybe an Agathis? One Norfolk Island pine is dying from the traffic
fumes but a young one nearby looks OK.
I may try Elly's suggestion and contact the home-owner with a card!
