Huh! Tell me about it! I foolishly let it loose in my garden 8 years
ago - thinking that it wouldn't have a hope in hell's chance of coming
through an English winter. Well, no-one told this supposedly tender,
tropical native of Brazil, that it was supposed to keel over at the
first hint of frost. As a result, I had a long and arduous battle
with it and have all but eradicated it. Looks as though several of
the variegated sorts are almost as tenacious.
