A request to Italian members of the group:
Could any of you provide information about a type of cypress that is
immune to the disease that is decimating the cypresses in our two
countries? I understand that one has been developed in Italy.
--We've been cutting down and burning the sick trees and replacing them
with others that will, I'm afraid, soon succumb to the disease as well.
The Greek forestry service has been very cavalier about disseminating
information on the subject.
--Is there a website for information?
--Can you recommend a nursery that would ship very young trees to
Corfu?
--It's heart-breaking to watch this destruction.
