One of the benefits of membership in the Mediterranean Garden Society is
being able to access a DB of nurseries and plants in the Medit. basin,
compiled by members for other members. There you would likely find
the best nurseries to check out for interesting plants! To find out more
about the MGS and to inquiry about this service, check this web page:

Barbara, the secretary, could provide some information to you via e-mail.
Also, I am currently in conversation with Olivier Filippi, a nurseryman
in Meze, near Montpellier, not very far from you, over the border in
France. I know he has quite an exceptional list of mediterranean climate
plants in his catalog, an amazing array of Cistus especially! You can
find his e-mail on this web page:

My daughter is traveling to Barcelona (after staying with Olivier) in a
few weeks time - I'd love to be able to talk with you about your fair
city this week (before she leaves) if you have time. She and a friend
will likely be staying at a youth hostel, but getting from 'point A to
Point B' might be a bit challeging as we do not as yet have contacts
in Barcelona. I'm trying to help them set up their itenerary before
they leaves this weekend.
Hope the above helps you, and thanks in advance for any info about
Barcelona!
Regards,
Sean O.
