Gardenia thunbergia

Help!
I've just aquired a very large potted specimen which looks as if it's
been recently pruned.  The leaves are small and of a very light green. 
I can't find any helpful information in books.  How big does it get? 
Should I treat it like my ordinary gardenias?  When does it flower?
