Is it possible for them to start rooting in a couple of days? Mine were only
in the water for two days before white nubbies began appearing along the
length of the stem that was covered with water. I had expected roots to
appear at the leaf nodes only. This has so far happened on the green
cuttings only. The woody cutting (described as "ideal" in one source) has no
white nubbies yet, so I'm not sure if they are nascent roots or not. Should
I wait to see if they grow into roots before potting them up, or should I pot
them up right away?

I'm willing to try. If the cuttings do well, I should have a few back up
plants, anyway. There is an excellent photo of a standard Brugmansia X
insignis "Jamaica Yellow" in a pot on a patio at:

hope to achieve with mine, I don't care if I have to overwinter it in the
garage! Thanks again for all the helpful advice.
