Wouldn't you think that with all the billions of chicory plants in the
world that there would be a few variant individuals that stay open
through the afternoon? Has anyone ever sought such variation? Not
being a morning sort, I also have found chicory unrewarding to grow. I
always hope I'll come across that one 'late bloomer' in some field
somewhere. Commelina too, closes before I can really get a good clear
look at it. What a wonderful color of blue, but wasted on the morning!
