Dear everyone,
I hope you can get rid of viruses on your computer, as the cool progs/pretty park appears to be a virus that I received originally from my sister Kris in Orinda, thinking that it was something she sent to me, and I ended up downloading it onto my computer as it wouldn't let me open it otherwise. I never was able to open it and see what it was, and it seems to have attached itself to my e-mail address list as well as anyone on the various discussion groups that I have joined and send itself off as an e-mail addressed from me. I didn't know that it was sending e-mails to people that I had not e-mailed since my laptop became infected, but apparently it is, and still is, because I had hoped that getting it deleted from my desk top was enough to disenable it. My sister Kris writes that she contacted McAfee.com at their tech support line 801 492 2703, and they were able to walk her through getting rid of the virus. I ran Norton anti virus on ! it! ! and it did not get identified as a virus. The virus can't be deleted without going to the registry file, and once you have downloaded it, it will self propagate using any address on your e-mail account. You might want to alert people to delete the message if it has anything about cool prog/pretty park on it.
take care,
David
