Thoughts on Phormiums...

Bill,
Phormiums are in great demand and short supply. They propagate rather
slowly when compared to many other perennials. Plant collectors love them
for the many unique forms, landscapers love them for the large bold
foliage they provide newly planted landscapes and gardeners love them
because they are easy to grow in the garden. With the U.S. economy
running at full speed and the associated new housing and landscapes
springing up everywhere...I would predict that there will be a shortage
of Phormiums, esp. the new forms for at least 5 years and probably until
the next recession.

Medit gardeners are finally realizing that foliage is the most important
year around feature in our mild climate gardens and Phormiums are right
up there as one of the most popular genera with plants 2 ft. to 12 ft.
tall in a wide range of colors. Buy your Phormium stock now!
