Sean O inquired about growing this rose from cuttings. Here in Rome we
have a R. banksiae 'Purezza', the R. banksiae hybrid by Mansuino 1961 that
is in bloom all year around..
Our fabulous rose is 32 years old and I grew it from a cutting. We have
supplied cuttings in every season (although in Rome the February and
September cuttings seem to take more successfully), and it seems to root
very well, simply stuck in the garden where it should grow, no hormones, no
special care or pampering.
Hopefully for you, you will have 100% success!
