<<Hello fellow Medits --

I work in a nursery in northern CA (30 miles inland from San Francisco) and
over the past couple of weeks I have had at least 5 customers come in
complaining about how, once again, they are getting NO blooms on their
wisteria (most had no blooms last year either, although all say the plants
were in bloom when they bought them). So I was wondering what the experience
of those in the group might be -- similar problems with wisteria? Is age a
factor? Feeding? Any tips would be most appreciated!

I live 30 miles south of San Francisco and the purple wisteria on my property
line with my neighbor is beginning to bloom. Neither my neighbor nor I have
fertilized or watered it in the 20 years I've been here, and it has always
bloomed. I must prune it several times a year because it vines over onto our
property. On my neighbor's side, it vines for over a hundred feet to the
tops of several Monterey pines. My neighbor never takes care of it.
