David,
The book you mention is Selected Plants for Southern California Gardens,
based on the plant forums at meetings of the Society during 1947-1998. It,
together other publications, is available at http://www.socahort.org/ . For
those living in the Los Angeles/Orange County area, the books are available
at the Arboretum Gift Shop in Arcadia, The Huntington in San Marino,
Hennessey & Ingalls in Santa Monica, and Rogers Gardens in Corona del Mar.
I know this because I am an officer of the Society.

I also got a chance to peruse a
copy of the Southern California Horticultural
Society's new book on plants discussed at past
meetings, (while researching Tibouchina species at
Strybing), and would definitely like to purchase a
copy. Do you have any info on who to contact to get
copies?
Thanks again,
David Feix
P.S. The rest of the medit-plants group might also be
interested in this book, and info on where to
purchase.
