SF Flower Show

I loved the show, but I always love the show.   I am a plant, flower, seedaholic garden freak.  I am also very aware of how difficult it is to create such displays in small spaces - for judging.  Trying to be different but still please - somebody?  So I always arrive with an attitude that it is a plant circus.  I always find an interesting idea, I don't like everything and I realize that sometimes a garden is not the least bit realistic for the home gardener.  But I also see lush gardens in tiny places that may inspire someone to do some gardening in their small place when they  thought they couldn't.  I also see plants that could never live together in a real home garden.  But there is always an interesting combination of those that may,  or something that you hadn't thought of that works or maybe something you see and don't even lik! e gives you a better idea or rather one you like better and can't wait to try.  And as for the vendors, the plant sales really excite me.  The hunt for something I have never seen before, or maybe have only found pictures of but wanted to see for real. That's really a chore to find something new but I'm always looking. And for me the real triumph is to actually find a plant I have been wishing for or a new unusual or rare plant.  It doesn't matter whether I can buy it or just find such a thing in a display, I'm thrilled.  So Ok, it's not all perfect but I enjoy it for what it is.  I even saw the Myrsine Africans used which has been discussed a lot lately and I am also interested in using as a small hedge around a patio, wouldn't have paid to much attentiion to it before.  Not to say I don't enjoy everyone's comments and discussion about it, I do very much.  So Thanks,  Carolyn
