I'd like to know the name of a shrub that's in many people's gardens in
Berkeley and probably the rest of the East Bay. It has a small, single
purple flower, around 1 to 1&1/2 " across, with a tiny yellow center and
four (I think) petals which are slightly wavy. The leaves are pointed and
alternate on the stems which have a graceful, slightly drooping habit. The
flowers have a faint, lovely, somewhat spicy fragrance
