RE: plant ID

Princess Plant or Tibochina Urvilleana? It is a Native of Brazil they
have our reverse spring. Tibochina blooms in the fall.

Subject: plant ID

I'd like to know the name of a shrub that's in many people's gardens in
Berkeley and probably the rest of the East Bay. It has a small, single
purple flower, around 1 to 1&1/2 " across, with a tiny yellow center and
four (I think) petals which are slightly wavy. The leaves are pointed
and
alternate on the stems which have a graceful, slightly drooping habit.
The
flowers have a faint, lovely, somewhat spicy fragrance

Thanks,
