I typically cut mine down to 400X300 pixels which i
think gives enough detail but isn't such a bear to
download. I have a 5 megapixel camera and it has
default pics over 1 megabyte each, so it is essential
i cut them down (i also usually adjust the levels to
cut glare, sharpen dark colors and enhance the
colors). 

if i want a more detailed picture i save it as a link
and post that.
