Cultural requirements for Sophora microphylla?

I just saw my first Sophora microphylla at the San Francisco Flower and
Garden Show, and all I know about it is what it looks like and that it's
the New Zealand national flower.

What are its cultural requirements? How cold/wet/dry/hot can it get?
