Hello all,
Any help with the following:
Philodendron selloum. Already growing outside, it has 4 trunks, the
largest having a diameter of about 4" but only 18" high. Should I
consider splitting them (teasing apart the roots or splitting with knife
or spade) or would they look better as they are as I intend to plant out
in the garden? I want them to grow big....
Stephanotis floribunda: Presently located under a covered terrace. It
is not looking well and did not flower (due to insufficient light, I
think) and I want to transfer it outside on a west facing wall. Will
get sun in the late evening only. How soon can I move it outside to
acclimatise for the hot summer ahead and any other requirements.?
Callistemon citrinus (unsure of species): Given to me last year for
emergency TLC. Grown as a standard and about 5' high, it was defoliated
and the rootball was completely dry. It is now well on the way back to
full recovery (I hope). The soil is peat based and I fear that it will
dry out again when it goes back to the owner and she places in her
favoured corner of the patio facing south (real heat trap). So should I
remove/replace some or much of the existing compost as the present
container is already 20" wide?. A bigger pot would be difficult to
lift.
Thanks for any advice.
