Best California Nurseries

Has anyone ever posted through this forum the best nurseries throughout Mediterranean-area California?
 
Aside from a couple of decent books I know about, where are the resources for finding plants in this area?
 
Is there an on-line listing besides the Mediterranean Garden Society site (which has a short listing for Northern California and Southern California)?
 
I know that other member-posters in this forum have frequently asked such notes/questions as "I'm going to be travelling to San Francisco and I'd like to visit some nurseries.  What do you recommend?"
 
Is it time to consolidate that info?
