Thank you !!!!!!

Greetings and many, many thanks to all who took the time to reply!!!

Joe, the list you sent is very impressive!!  some of the plants I already have and as far as I know doing well. Others I heard of but was shy to try but will give it a go.  Thank you.

Richard, yes, I am familiar with the Chihuahuan Desert Garden at UTEP. Bought plants at their yearly sale, lost few, passed the loss as a donation to ( for better or worse )my alma mater.  Mountain States nursery is a winner!!  bought their plants in other nursery because they do not sell retail.  Plants of the Southwest is for my seeds. High country gardens puts out a wonderful catalog and good information monthly by e mail. HGC is located in Santa Fe, much colder in winter and cool, relatively, in the Summer.
The Native plant Society of New Mexico is a very good organization, very dedicated to NM plants--I was a member for a while to see what they had to offer.   My taste is more eclectic...but I am careful not to introduce a plant that would proliferate with abandon and endanger the native environment.

I was not aware that Mediterannean garden was a style or form of garden but I will look it up to understand what it involves. For my purpose, I am trying to make my 2 1/2 acres into a park like atmosphere by blending other trees or plants with the existing honey mesquite, yucca, cactus and ephedra.

Again thank you!!!!!

Monique
