Hello,
The irrigation canal has an easement at the
lower portion of our property for maintenance and they are taking out a large
multistemmed willow which blocks our view of our neighbor's various
collections. Does anyone know of a very fast growing evergreen plant that
likes sun and wind and not much water? We are putting in a long mound on
higher ground and want to plant a row of shrubs to block the unwanted view of
the neighbor's property. I read about Elaeagnus multifida but cannot find
a nursery that carries that variety in a large size. I would like to
locate several of this plant since it could do double duty as a screen and has
edible berries, considered a delicacy in Japan.
Thanks.
Linda
