I've seen this one being sold unlabeled as to cultivar at the big chains such as Home Depot.  It's out there already...

Everyone's lovely photos (thank you for starting this thread, David Feix) remind me of a plant we saw in August 2009 at UC Santa Cruz. Does anyone know if it is available in the trade? It's an Anigozanthus 'Herringbone', about 2 feet tall.  Here's a photo link:
