Dear Kay et al Great to read that this old gardener is still is still remembered. To bring our story up to date is perhaps rather boring! But always a talkative gardener, I will my tell my sad story. Five years ago I was told that I had Lupus. I was told to always to carry an umbrella when leaving the house, to wear a hat [always did] etc etc. It was a heavy blow to stomach. Now Kees and I have to face realities and have had to put the country garden on the market. The garden was so beautiful this last Spring and Summer - I do not know if it was saying goodbye or pleading us not to leave it. Last week I was informed by my doctor daughter that thrombosis had set in, so, so much for sitting around looking out the window instead of tending to the weeding. But we still have the town garden and after all we have had a wonderful time, meeting all our computer fellow gardeners, over these many years.
