Okay, I'm hooked. Having recently seen pictures of various Celmisia
species, I realize that my life will be meaningless until I have some in my
garden. In the accompanying text (in John Kelly's Sowing A Better Garden),
I see that seed very often is unviable, but that he (Kelly) was able to
find a source of good seed from some small island off the southern tip of
New Zealand. Does anyone have any experience growing Celmisias from seed?
I gather that if you get viable seed, it should germinate easily --
presumably no special treatment, 70F. And -- I'm sorry to have to ask the
dreaded Source Question, but here goes: where can one get viable seed?
Thanks in advance for any and all responses.
