A question for those of you in France or Italy:
I am growing a prune plum that I got from the USDA Germplasm Repository at
Davis (California). It is called "St. Jean" and is supposed to be a very
old prune from southern France. My fruit is quite small, golden-yellow,
sweet like a French or Italian prune, and with a small seed. Here, it
ripens in June or July...much earlier than other prunes.
Do any of you have more information about this prune? How big is the fruit
supposed to be? How big does the tree normally get?
Thanks
Katherine
