Hi Gay,

We haven't corresponded before but I'm betting that you would know about
hardy geraniums in Australia. I seem to remember someone making a national
collection and looking for more additions . Are you aware of this or am I
just imagining this?

Thank you,

Dear Louis,
At the moment my life is taken up with hardy Aussies.
My eldest daughter had a prem baby on Saturday,
3 1/2 lb tiny girl! They are all doing well.
My computer went in for upgrades also and returned
with zero files in all the directories. Have
managed between hospital visits to get most back
as I have a Zip drive. Unfortunately, the backup
is about 4 months old and so I have lost all
recent email letters.
I remember a letter too - but as I do
not specialise in geraniums [I do grow a few]
I can't really help you. In Tassie, geraniums
grow especially well in the dry areas of our gardens.
Hobart, being very hilly, has gardens with handy
natural banks and I have seen huge areas covered
in climbing geraniums. Quite spectacular!
A famous English garden photographer was taking
photos of our town garden but could hardly wait
to get away to photograph some of the geraniums
that he could see driving around the streets.
I will send this to medit-plants as I am sure
someone else will have that elusive letter.
