Re: Lespedeza

Have just done a search on the Net - most references are to annual
forms. My Phillips & Rix 'Perennials Vol.2' shows it to be a lovely
shrub with graceful arching branches and bright pink pea-like flowers in
long racemes. The common name is Bush Clover. Phillips & Rix 'Shrubs'
shows the other form as more woody growth and lighter pink flowers. On
the Net, I found the a photo of Lespedeza thungergii 'Alba' at:
http://www.egarden.com/picOday/98/09/15.html and a good write-up
at: http://arb.ncsu.edu/YearinTrees/List/Lespedeza.html
