Celmesias

I noticed that you mentioned celmisias in a recent posting. I saw one on
sale for =A310 at a plant fair some years ago but baulked at the price but
bought one in 1997  at a yellow book garden at a good price =A34. I have
given it sun and good drainage and the basal rosette seems quite sturdy
despite the deluge of this winter. (Will it ever stop raining?) I am
wondering if it will flower this year . When do they usually flower?


I saw the collection of celmisias at the Dillon garden in Dublin in 1997
but alas they were not in flower. I am promising myself another day trip to
Dublin this year  perhaps I can catch them in the flowering season.
