Roses of Yesterday

Thanks to you guys for the input. Since I visited their gardens just east
of Santa Cruz/Watsonville California on Saturday, I can confirm that Roses
of Yesterday and Today exists. I was surprised by how shady a spot it was
in, hemmed in by redwoods. (Not so classic "Mediterranean") So if they
can grow it, the rose probably can tolerate shade. They had about 2 dozen
types available in pots, payable by the honor system. Many were climbers,
which I was looking for, but no Noisettes, my current favorite since they
seem to grow well under my care. Picked up two climbers, "Dublin Bay" and
"Lavender Lassie", and one Rugosa with a long French name, "Blanc Double de
something or other".
