I will be spending the latter part of April and the beginning of May in
France and thought I'd solicit suggestions from members of the group familiar
with this part of the world regarding interesting gardens, parks, nurseries,
botanical gardens, etc.

I plan to be in Paris for up to ten days and am aware of many new landscape
projects there since I last visited the city in 1981. I am including stops at
Monet's garden in Giverny and Versailles and will spend a few days in the
Loire Valley before heading south to the area around Cahors (north of
Toulouse), then on to Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and finally Lyon.

I lived in Aix-en-Provence as a student nearly 30 years ago, but this was long
before my current interests in horticulture and landscape design had been
kindled. I look forward to revisiting old haunts and perhaps discover some
new ones with a fresh perspective born of years of study and working in
landscaping. Any suggestions would be welcome, not only with regards to
Provence, but other venues along my itinerary as well.

Make sure Grignan is seen, near Avign'n. Stunning place.
