My Echium also does this fasciation regularly. It is not usually semi
transparent, but is interesting nonetheless. I must say though - having no
flower arrangers nearby I tend to cut these branches off!! Just goes to
show 'one man's meat, is another poison'
I do love the plant though. It only flowers for about three weeks here, but
since it is not in an especially prominent postion, it does not affect the
overall look of the garden.
