Fw: Jackmanii Clematic and Almond tree problems

Subject: Re: Jackmanii Clematic and Almond tree problems

Could someone tell me why for the last 3 years my Almond tree of at least 15 years is dropping its fruit?  Doing it right now. About 4 years ago it was really cut back on one side but now looks fine.

My daughter read that if you cut a Jackmanii Clematis back after blooming it will bloom again.  After she did that it  did not bloom at all for 3 years although it looks healthy enough and had one blossom this year .

Someone cut my 15 year Jackmanii Clematis back to about 1 1/2 ft. this Spring and instead of a wall of flowers I have two small vines, but they have a few flower buds so I don't think I'll suffer the same fate as my daughter. Any suggestions as to how to get it to recover quickly? My Clematis is in Greece above Athens, and hers is in Richmond, VA.
Thanks for your help.
