Glaucium flavum is
definitely available in Southern California--I bought a 4" pot of the same three
years ago at Hortus in Pasadena and the plant (to say the least) is
vigorous. I have attempted to grow G. corniculatum here (the Red
horned poppy), without much success. I have seen this very showy plant in
England and would expect that it would thrive here as well as G. flavum. I
believe that seed for these are (or were) available from
Chiltern's.
