I don't think it is Medit-Plants. We get small amounts of spam - too
much already! - but nothing like the amount you quote.
We have set up "filters" in our email client (Netscape) that skim off
the most frequent offenders straight inot the "Trash" folder, but this
is only a partial "cure" since the perpetrators change their sending
address/sender's name frequently.
I note other replies to your query that suggest that Yahoo! may be the
likely culprit.
I understand that "free email services" are notorious for being channels
for spam and porn.
