I'm not exactly sure of the purpose behind your
question but let me throw out these comments:
The common honeybee, Apis mellifera, is an introduced
insect. It is not native.
Commercial hive owners, at least those who were smart
and survived the initial onslaught of the Varroa mite,
now use various management techniques to help their
bees perpetuate themselves, sans mite infestation.
Native bees and other pollinating insects are
plentiful and do a wonderful job of making sure that
our native -- and garden -- plants end up with fruits
and seeds and whatever else pollination leads to.
It's my thinking that if you have plants (fruiting
vegetables?) that require pollination, pollinators
will find those plants and planting other plants to
attract pollinators only attracts the pollinators AWAY
from the desired plants. Am I wrong here?
I may be off-base so I'm hoping you will offer more to
your question and need?
