any experience with Galvezia?

Hi everyone
Do any of you (the Californians especially, I imagine) grow Galvezia sp.?
There is virtually no info out there on the net about this plant, which has grown well and flowered in
a very shady garden in Southern Italy since I gave it to a friend for his birthday in February.
But we were wondering about how best to propogate it, whether to dead-head, etc.
Any experiences or ideas?
