Re: Buddlejas, invasive and not


Buddleja  x pickei (B.alterneria x B. crispa) was a favorite

part of my garden until I accidentally drowned it this
winter.  It was in a 15 gallon container half burried; the
roots had blocked all the drain holes and the container
filled with water and stayed that way for months before I
realized it.
It is  relatively low growing, delightfully fragrant, light
lavender and not as attractive to the Buddleja budworm  that

has become such a pest around the SF bay area.
Now my problem is to find a replacement.
