Regarding the Buddleja re-seeding thread- it seems to
me that most folks on this list are responsible people
who would see to it that potentially invasive
re-seeders got deadheaded before seeds set in their
*own* gardens. But perhaps it would be ill advised for
designers to specify problem plants in problem areas
in their work for others, and for nurseries to sell
said plants in areas where they have proved to be
problematic.
I think taking responsibilty is the key, and we can
only each guarantee that as individuals. Asking
ourselves to be self-truthful about how we actually
will or will not maintain our plantings is vital.
best to all,
Deborah
