Either way works with Narcissus. Just make sure you dry the bulbs for about a week or ten days post depotting. Use net bags of the sort onions are sold in and hang them up with reasonably good air circulation in a dry, dark or dimly lit location.
Yours most respectfully,

Good morning. We are moving and have rehomed many of our plants but I would like to take a few daffodil/jonquil/narcissus bulbs along with to our new location. I've potted them up so they can die back but my question is - can I take them out of the pots after dieback and store them in bags or do I have to leave them in their pots? Thanks for any help you can give.
