Re: Rosa rubrifolia

I grow it in part shade here in the Languedoc area of France, it does well but not as well as when I grew it in milder, wetter Gloucestershire, UK Worth the effort tho

Greetings everyone
This is my first foray into this site. I garden in the warm
Mediterranean climate of Western Australia in Gingin, about an hour and a half
drive north of Perth. Have any of you grown Rosa rubrifolia in a hot summer
area? I admired this lovely foliage rose in Helen Dillon's garden in Dublin
and since then have read glowing reports of it in many articles. It is very
useful for floral art too.
Looking forward to your responses,
Robin
