Hmmm.  I can't believe its the same as our Buffalograss is native to the
Great Plains area of the US.  But, then again, maybe it is.  I must
research this.....

I'd like to know more about this.  What exactly do you mean?  You can't
install sprinklers?  You can't turn them on?  What are 'fixed' sprinklers?


 Ground covers are gaining in popularity and I

What species?  I'd estimate there are currently about 25 allegedly drouthy
ground covers commonly sold in California nurseries.  In university towns
like Berkeley they constitute a noticeable percentage of front yards;  in
the 'burbs they are much less evident, in the rural areas nearly
non-existent.
