White Plants

WHile i was in my backyeard watering the Indian Corn and Pumpkin
seedlings, i noticed that three of the Indian Corn seedlings are pure
white. There is not one hint of green at all. Now, most of the
seedlings are the same light green color, but these few seedlings are
the same color. Any ideas as to what this is and why it happened?

BTW: the corn is being used to make a "fence" to keep the dog out of
the pumpkin seedlings! I also got all of the seeds for the corn from
the same cob.
