Irene - There's a picture of the eriogonum available at
http://laspilitas.com/plants/287.htm, part of Las Pilitas Nursery's site
(http://laspilitas.com/). The plant doesn't look at all as dramatic as the one
I remember - maybe I'd better rethink this recommendation. The magazine
article - I think it was in Sunset magazine - showed a Santa Barbara, CA,
garden with lovely billowing plants towering over the people's heads...but I
don't know anything else about the plant.
