Bulbous plants from the Medit belt in South Africa which do their
growing in winter do tend to be somewhat frost tender and will not
usually survive more than a few minus degrees. If there is a chance of
really severe winter frosts occasionally, I would tend myself to keep
such bulbs in containers so they can be sheltered if necessary.
