Here's my list (trying to stick to Med types, apologies if I don't
succeed)
Best
Species Narcissus esp bulbocodium group
Any species of Cyclamen
Any species of Snowdrop (Galanthus)
Anemone coronaria (I think that is the species - The wild red from
Israel lovely grown with Grape hyacinths).
Roman hyacinths.
Abutilon hybridum
Lavenders
Bush Marguerites (Argyranthemum)
Oleandar - Not singles particularly, but the opulent old double pink (a
very dear childhood memory from Africa)
Just about any silver plant.
Long-flowering cistus cultivars.
Worst
Any species of Photinia, large or small.
Almost any variegated shrub that also flowers conspicuously (Esp. Rhodo
President Roosevelt) and most others which have yellow variegations
(cream or pink I usually like).
Bright yellow florists chrysanths.
The "bests" definitely outnumber the "worsts"
