I suppose, if you covered the plant in ice ona daily basis for several
months . . .
I do know one plantaholic who gets alpine dwarf rhododendrons to thrive
and bloom in the San Francisco area by placing them in his fridge for
several months. Maybe if one had a friend with extra space in a cold
storage locker one could do the same with larger plants (or place them
with a frined in a northern clime for the winter - somehting I have
thought about doing with a potted cherry tree.)
