Duranta repens? erecta?

Hi all

I am doing some research for an article on Duranta and would love some help. First of all, if anyone grows this in So Cal, please contact me off-line so I can ask you some questions.

But what I am most in need of at the moment, is some help with the nomenclature. Can anyone tell me if D. erecta and D. repens are the same? And if so, which is the preferred name?
