For the mediterranean basin
Bulbs [crocus, colchicum, tulips in the east, narcissus in the west],
orchids [lotsa luck finding a source for these!], all kinds of annual from
cheat grass through poppies, borages of various sorts, and probably the
most prevalent, that all-Californian filaree [Erodium cicutarium]. Good
chance it will find you and fill all the gaps!
