Re: 'Berggarten' sage and Californian fires

Hullo Joe, I am. I thought the difference between it and ordinary sage was
in the appearance rather than the taste. However the one that I saw at
Rodale PA, was a much more attractive plant with larger and rounder leaves
than the "Berggarten" sold in England

Our hearts go out to you who have lost everything in the fires, the messages
posted on this site have a far greater immediacy than the news broadcasts.
Meanwhile we have had a bumper crop of Umbellularia seeds this year thanks
to the drought. So if anybody wants some for free (but please add postage)
to replenish their gardens for their grandchildren, let me know. Sadly
though I suspect that USDA regulations will make this rather an empty
gesture.
